Closing reviews that admit what still slips
Ending a change programme with only success metrics trains sponsors to ignore the night shift that never adopted the new step.
A useful closing review holds two truths at once: what people are now doing differently, and where the old method still appears under pressure.
What we bring into the room
- Examples of completed steps from early adopters
- Specific places the process still slips (shift, team, or step)
- One recommendation leadership must own — time, staffing, or a form change
What we leave out
Victory language that cannot survive a Friday night observation. If numbers look healthy because only day teams were counted, we say so. Sponsors may find that uncomfortable; it is still kinder than another silent reversion three weeks later.
